The students who want to transfer credits to our university must finish the admission steps and become a student first. Afterwards, they can go to Student Affairs to make a transfer application. Please note that we cannot provide any information regarding the transfer of courses. The decision will be made by the faculty itself. However, you need to proceed this step after completing registration officially. If you need earlier information before registration you can contact the related faculty and submit them your transcript and your course descriptions by e-mail. (All papers should be stamped and signed by your university) You can find the contact person on the bottom of your program's page.
Required Documents:
    1. Transcript: The transcript must mention all the courses completed, grades earned, and the cumulative grade point average (CGPA). Note: This document must be in a sealed envelope.
    2. Student certificate: This document must be in a sealed envelope.
    3. Course content: This document should include information about the curriculum, course material, and any other relevant departmental information.
    4. High school diploma
    5. Equivalency document: Transfers made between the institutions should present an equivalency document which is recognized by the Council of Higher Education.
  Applications must be submitted by hand or mailed to the Student Affairs Office. Delays in postal service are not considered. IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you register at BAU, course records - such as transfer credits and course descriptions - must be checked and approved by the relevant faculty academic advisors.
As a city university, the Bahçeşehir campus only includes academic and administrative facilities. The campus does not offer on-campus dormitories. However, BAU offers on-campus accommodation only for English Preparatory student in the Future campus. For more information please click here. After your registration is completed; Please visit The Dean of Students office on weekdays from 10:00-17:00 , so we can assist you with the following Residence Permit application process. After registration foreign students are required to have student visa except nationalities exempted from visa to enter Turkey for travels up to 30-90 days. All other types of visas or legal entrance procedures will be accepted by BAU for registration as well.  
  • Passport
  • Photocopy of passport ID page, as well as any pages of student visa and/or entry stamps.
  • Printouts of the application form in color
  • Student Certificate in Turkish (Öğrenci Belgesi) Health insurance
  • 4 passport-sized biometric photographs
  • Tax Number from the tax office
  • Receipt of payment of the application fee (Can be paid in a tax office or at any branch of Ziraat Bank)
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18; consent letter (from both Parents) and Birth Certificate must be provided (translated to Turkish).
Under Turkish law, international students must apply for residence permits within 30 days of entering Turkey, and before their visa expiration date. Applications for permits can take up to 90 days to be processed. Applicants are not recommended to leave Turkey until their application is processed and they have received their residency permit. It is highly recommended to visit the BAU Dean of Students Office to apply for residence permit. You can apply in person on campus by visiting our office.
Bahçeşehir University currently offers two types of tuition fee scholarships:
  1. Success Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a student at the end of their second year, if they rank the first or second in their department, on a list published by the university. If they are placed the first in their department, they receive a 100% scholarship. If they are ranked second, they are awarded a 50% scholarship. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the student must complete four semesters.
  2. Faculty Scholarship: These scholarships are offered to those registered to the following faculties: Health Sciences, and Educational Sciences. Students who apply to these faculties can get a scholarship of 30%.
Additionally, if you have any projects or personal abilities that can contribute to the university, please send us a letter of intent and proposal for review by the scholarship committee.
Undergraduate students must pay the yearly tuition in two installments.
After the approval of your application, a non-refundable deposit should be paid. The deposit is considered as a guarantee of the applicant’s intent to enroll at BAU. This deposit amount will then be deducted from the tuition fee at registration.
    There are four ways you could make your payment:
  1. Pay by credit card at the university financial office (in-person)
  2. Pay by cash at Denizbank BAU branch (in-person)
  3. Wire transfer to any of the two Denizbank accounts mentioned below
  4. Pay online through the credit card payment website, E-PAY (currently under construction)

Citizens of countries who are allowed to enter Turkey for durations upto 90 days are not required to apply for a visa to be registered as a student in our university. However, they have to apply for the residence permit within 30 days of entry. Citizens of some countries might require a visa. Any type of visa is accepted to register as a student. Please be aware that the visa application process might take up to 4 months. For TÜRKMER, you are required to hold a student visa to apply for a residence permit in Turkey. Please check the following link to learn if you need a visa.
If you do not have any acceptable English language certificate or do not meet the criteria for the required scores, you can register and take the BAU English Proficiency exam, after completing the registration process. For this exam, you must earn a minimum score of 60 out of 100. (For Masters' degree: check the box below) The students who are going to study in English Language Teaching & Medicine programs must get 80 out of 100. The test consists of two phases: Placement and proficiency Students with no prior education in English will be automatically registered to the BAU preparatory school. Students with the required  test scores, as well as those who have passed the BAU proficiency exams after registration, will be placed in their programs automatically. Please do not forget to take the necessary documents from the Student Affairs Office, to be able to register and take the English Placement/Proficiency Exams. First-semester tuition should be paid in order to complete the registration. Deposit will be deducted from the first-semester's installment. During your registration, you can pay the rest in the campus right before you complete the registration via credit card or cash.

  • Turkish high school Equivalency Certificate (Denklik) authorized by Turkish Education Council. This document certifies that your high school diploma is equal to a Turkish high school diploma. You can obtain it from either a Turkish Consulate or Denklik Office in Istanbul.

  • Original Hard Copy of Official Acceptance letter (can be obtained from International Office with a copy of it during registration)
